This class works on cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise.
Don't panic!
Aerobics always conjures up pictures of Jane Fonda in leg warmers doing hundreds of jumping jacks.
If you like to boogie then this is the class for you.
We use fun dance moves from Salsa, Disco, Bollywood, Street, Funk, Cheerleading and Burlesque Dance.
Various options are always given so this class will suit all ages and abilities.
There are also toning and stretch floor work sections.
Wear comfortable clothing & supportive footwear. You may wish to bring a towel & a drink. Water is available. Mats are provided.
The class dance style changes approx. every 8 weeks.

What is aerobic exercise? Also known as cardiovascular exercise; it is any sustained rhythmic activity that involves large muscle groups. Aerobic exercise makes the lungs work harder as the body's need for oxygen is increased.
What are the benefits if aerobic exercise?
There are many benefits for health and general well being that are gained from regular cardiovascular exercise. Increased energy levels, reduced stress and improved mental health (due to release of endorphins in the brain) Increased heart and lung efficiency reduced blood pressure, reduced resting heart rate and risk of stroke or heart attack. Helps with weight loss. Weight is lost by creating a calorie deficit, burning more calories than you take in, so undertaking activities that burn large amounts of calories is an excellent accompaniment to a calorie controlled diet helping to shift those unwanted pounds.
